Glenn is in the basement of the Shinra Mansion reading books.
Hrm, so this Cloud fellow supposedly defeated Sephiroth once and for all. But, that just doesn't add up. If Seph is as powerful as the books say he is, there's no way he could have lost. That is, unless he let everyone think he was killed...

1500 years ago, powerfully built man with short silver hair and a claymore tries to take over the planet.
2000 years ago, hideously screwed up magical monster and a silver-haired boy wipe all but 100 people off the face of the planet.

Right now it's 499.94 years since Sephiroth was supposedly destryoed and the world returned to peace. He could be revived any time now.

Apoc heads for the Nibelheim reactor. He goes to the Jenova plant and looks around.

He searches for any documents which may give him clues but couold not find any.
He moves to Shinra Mansion to find out more....

I'd rather not tell you where I came from. All I'll say is that Sephiroth made me the way I am when I fought him 500 years ago, and lost. Now I live my life wandering the land with the goal of finally crushing out his life once and for all. And heaven help anyone that gets in my way...
Well, it is time to leave. If we hurry, we'll reach Rocket Town by sundown tomorrow.

Hershey looks at the ground and sees many footprints.
Ahh, so there was something here. I wonder if it has to do with anything with this power I'm feeling.
The area around Hershey begins to shake.

Something, no, someone emerges from the ground. A tall man, looked about age 25-30. Spikey blond hair, wearing a dark uniform. He carries an oversized sword.

Spikey Haired Man: My name is not important.
Hershey: Where did you come from?
Spikey Haired Man: ...Nibleheim.
Hershey: How did you end up here?
Spikey Haired Man: ...The darkness brought me. I have finally realised my purpose here. I missed my chance five hundred years ago, but I'm going to finish on what has been started.
The Spikey Haired man flies away. It seemed like he was flying directly west. towards Rocket Town.

As Glenn and Apoc head towards Rocket Town, Apoc feels a surge of energy.
Apoc: WTF was that!
Apoc feels the energy moving towards Rocket Town, only a few miles from where he and Glenn stood
Apoc: This energy, it doesn't seem evil, yet it feels like its Sephiroth. But Sephiroth, not evil! Don't make me laugh
Apoc motions to Glenn to hurry to Rocket Town with him and find out whats happening.....

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a group of monsters appear.
"Okay, now THIS feels like Sephiroth!"
Glenn and Apoc fight with all their might, but the monsters keep coming.
"There's just too many of them, we can't break through. There's no choice but to retreat for now, and hope that Rocket Town will stay safe."

Apoc

Apoc reluctantly turns and retreats from the throng of monsters.
Apoc:- How the fuck did they get there? They couldn't have just appeared by coincidence. Something big must be happening at Rocket Town that we are not 'allowed' to see.
Apoc ponders for an alternative way into Rocket Town.
Apoc:- I know! How about we trek over mount Nibel and approach Rocket Town from there?
