I think joining date unknown means you joined before they started recording join dates.

Your rating affects your privleges. You have nothing to worry about as along as your rating stays high (above 6 I think). Once it drops below that (which only happens if you do something to piss everyone off):
You can post with less frequency.
You lose the privelege to post comments.
You lose the privelege to post threads (I don't know if that happened though).
You lose the privelege to affect the rating of other members.
A few other things happen too.
So just keep it high, and you have nothing to worry about.

He asked for it to be that way. You can still see how much money he has in his profile. It just appears as CENSORED in the forum.
