I don't have W:A, so i'll just cheer from teh sidelines. XD

GET WA OR ESLE something

He has W:A, he just can't get it to work. I've tried troubleshooting for him, but amazingly I failed .
If you think you can help him, more power to you.

Not neccessarily. I tried the regular approach, which is:
1) Install W:A
2) Restart
3) Install the 3.0.5.0 patch
4) Restart
5) Install the latest beta patch
6) Restart
7) Set compatibility settings to Win 98
If that fails, update graphic drivers and direct X
9) If THAT fails, check for programs that might interfere
10) It *THAT* fails, then I can't remember the other stuff you can do to get it to work

I still think he should try to install it again.

if you're using WinXP then i dont see why it shouldnt work. maybe its a bad copy of WA??? o.O

Try running it before adding the beta patch, I've heard that helps.
