i hate it when i get distracted by the forums and an auction that i realy want to win is about to end, so what i suggest is that we should recieve a PM notification telling us that the auction is going to end in x mins
you recieve pms from watched auctions and you choose what x is.

and the reminder suggestion is this:
write a pm to your self but you'll only recieve in in x amount of minets, or at a chosen time.
you may forget that the simpsons is on so you want to remind your self with a nice little PM

That's a pretty good idea. I wouldn't know, since there usually isn't much stuff I want on the auctions. I send myself PMs all the time, mostly to test codes and such.

if your bidding on something you want, and you only have couple mins left, you would stay on the BTA page, and just press refesh every 10 seconds, right?

yes, but this would be a reminder say, 10 mins befor the auction ends, incase you forgot about it.

Self PM sent at set times is a great idea.

But wouldn't that take up loads of memory on the database?




I guess... but that is also assuming that everyone is on BTP 24/7... You can send a PM to yourself but doesn't mean you will be around when you get it.
