You know, how nice program wwpipe is, gives a nice rank, a flag, that owns, and even flamebars. Guess what? THAT PROGRAM, is the thing that completely ruined WWP. Are people so dumb to think they're SUPERCOOL by using the l33t rank?!? Or have a "cool" flaming superpowerbar that "owns!"

What makes you become l33t just by using a program meant for lamers? Really. Answer.

First off, wwpipe did not ruin ranks in WWP, that little fiasco occured early on in W:A's run of Wormnet. Secondly, yes, people are stupid enough to think that something that is now available to everybody (but not used by everybody) is 'l33t'. And thirdly, there's so many threads that have been made on this subject (both wanting one and wondering about one) that it's really, REALLY depressing.

Well, just to say in my opinion, I think the Blue flaming bar looks cool. I don't mean it in a 'showoff' kind of way I just like how it looks rather than a 1 colored bar.
Ranks tho, I dont care if they like em or not. But ppl (tho ive never seen) who 'showoff' there rank trying to be elite of the new players is just plain stupid.
In the earlier days of W;a with beta 2, I used leetf*ck and buttfats myself. Not for selfish reason but reasons like the Blue falme bar. I used the Silver rank mostly cause there was alot of imposters going around being idiots. So I use this ranks to prevent identity theft and my friends will know who's the real who. (well of course they would cause normally the imposter would just spam spontaniously)

I really dont have a problem with it, in fact, if i could do it on W:A, i would, i just use it because it makes me stand out from everybody else, and the flamebars look kinda cool instead of the boring regular default bars that W:A and WWP have.

You would use it because "it makes me stand out from everybody else"? That's what this thread is about. That's exactly who I call rankn00bs. They think they're cool by doing something lame.

Offcourse they should get rid of them. Or alse I woldn't have made a noob scanner.

Well, maybe it should have ben called butthole detector or something since the ones using special ranks are in the end not very oftent bad players (sorry). But they have all right in the world to be called noobs anyway, if thats the wosth word according to nerds.

They should get rid of them until they implement the proper rankign system.. But even then I think people would cheat...

If the ranking system was put back online, cheating could be prevented. Any non-authorized client that changed there rank dramatically, Team17 would have a fail-safe proggie that would bannish that name until further investigation...
If anything, they guy sets his rank (cheat) and play some other game, after that his rank would have been reset, or something because the points dont add up.

But eh, who knows. The ranking system may never come back online...

I really hope it does come back online, that would be cool so you could determin who is a noob and who is not by looking simply at their ranks.

Ranks don't exist. Thus, only people that have cheated using programs like leetf*ck and wwpipe can have higher ranks than bronze.

Way up there I read about the Noob rankstrip, i have tried this and have taken it off, it doesnt seem very accurate, Ive played with pros who have been ranked "Noob" by this rankstrip. Do you know how it works? Is it time they have been playing or games won or whatever?
