I havn't seen a post in here for over a month, And we could do with something new to get the forum up and running again. But I am one of those people with little imangination, So lets have a chat about what going to happen around here. We could try and restart the Calvin Ball games again...they seamed to work until Minigunweilder came to the forum (everything seamed to work before him) Or a new story driven RP like the Psymon's story thread, a differant action RP?

I was thinking this too.. how about we have something completely new? What about having a battlefield style thing, char v char all fighting? Or big brother

Oh holy pap no, Big brother would suck. I mean, the TV show sucks and the RP would just be a chatroom.

There's already a sotra of battlefield thingy in the shape of trench warfare. But if it was to be differant, then go ahead.

I was looking forward to "...and cut" working, but it didn't take off.

Calvin ball was going rather smoothly until minigunwielder came along, then everything stopped. I might get that going again.

I'm open to suggestions for new things.

Hey guys, a long time since I've posted in here.

I'm interested in getting into this RP'ing business. Any information and threads I should read before getting in to it all?

Well, unless you would like dead threads theres about nothing atm...

Ok, there isin't much i could refer you to read to understand what RPing is about, but I'll try and explain it.

Action RPs: These RPs are about Action(hence the name) An example of this is "Calvin Ball I/II". These are about fights and single events. These don't usally have a sign-up to them and usally people can join in whenever they want.

Story driven: These are about Story and plot. I geuss an example of this would be "Civil war". Most of these have sign ups to them and you can't often join in half way through.

Sign Up/Disscusion: Sign ups usally have these key points for you to fill in to join the RP:
Name:Your name
Age:your age
Disscription:What your like and what you look like.
Bio/Backstory: You biogophy/Backstory
There are sometimes more thingys to fill EG:
Skills: the RP starter will often put down a list of skills for the RPer to choose from. Sometimes setting what job classes may pick what skills.
Job class: Again, the RP starter will give a list of job classes for the RPer to pick from.

Most Sign up threads are turned into the discussion thread after the RP has started. this is where you can talk about the storyline or what's going to happen in the RP.

Some general rules:

1.Player killing is not alowd in Story-driven RPs. EG: You can't come into the story and kill everyone off, even if you are a baddie, ok can kidnap and lock people up though, but you can only kill them off if they say so (sorta odd but can work)
Player killing is aloud in Action RPs as players are often aloud to respawn.

2.Do not control other people's characters.You wouldn't like if I made your character do something stupid.

3.Don't act stupidly. EG: Don't say "Aliens are invading" during a WW2 scene or the sort. It just makes you look like a fool.

4.Use stars (*) or Italics as action quotes EG: *Psymon went over to the wall, picked up a shotgun And blasted the shit out of the zombies.*

5.Have fun, and don't ruin it for other people.

Youd don't have to use the stars or the italics as actions. you can use plain text like this. When speach comes, you can just use regular quotations. The RP style I have learned is from my "RP Teacher". I went to an RP school and I kind of got the wrong habits. I've been known to wreck Story RPs.

Of course, actions do look better if you at least put a / me in frong of it (without that space of course) .
