I don't think there should be greatest user awards, I think there should be a BtP Awards thread. Allow me to explain.
At another forum I go to, LucasForums.com, it has a yearly awards thread that have things like:
Coolest User:
Nicest:
Most Helpful:
Best Artist:
Ultimate spammer king award:

etc. etc. It's actually rather fun. That would be a lot better than Greatest User of All Time; people could just vote, and then the one or two people with most votes for each category gets sent to the semi-finals, etc. Then, we'll end up with one winner for each category.

Just my two cents. Tell me what you think.

its sounds like an excelent idea joe

if poeple can agree on what the "best" things should be, it would work out really well
