Hi im on my friends computer (QTeK) its on Windows XP
Theres a little problem...
When i go onto worms it all works fine until the actual game starts to load, before the loading circle comes up some white sqaures and rectangles appear on the screen and just stay there unless i press ctrl + alt + del once then the loading circle is there in weird colours then the game starts all in weird colours if i try to minimize it just stays on worms but i can quit the game when i do that it just goes straight back to desktop. It didnt used to be like this and i dont think its these new updates because we have tried reinstalling and using the very first patch.
I thought it might be the graphics card (ATI Radeon 9200 128mb) but i couldnt find driver updates for it anywhere the driver number we hav now is 6.14.10.6378. If anyone could help me with the worms problem it would be greatly appreciated because QTeK is a valuble member of MoR. ty

Okay, first of all, work on punctuation a bit, that was REALLY hard to read. If you need to get ATI drivers, then go to http://www.ati.com . Click the link for driver updates, fill in the fields, and it should automagically come up with the latest driver. Also, you may want to check if any recently installed programs are causing the problem.

Right i've updated my graphics driver and it still does the exact same thing.

Have you installed any programs recently that may interfere. And have you upgraded DirectX? Also, has it seemed to happen since it got patched. You may want to try uninstalling/reinstalling.

hmmm wot kind of programs would interfere i dont know of any recenty installed

This comp has got DirectX9.0b by the way.
We have tried uninstall then reinstall still got the problem...

Apparantly, WinAmp 5 has a problem with W:A. Also, any programs that might take the focus away from W:A (IMs, auto-updates, etc), should probably be turned off before playing. Furthermore, though this probably isn't the case, the amount of RAM resources remaining should probably be checked. If it's low, close down some programs until it gets up a bit.

I run Winamp 5.2 whenever my computer is running. Ive ran Winamp 2 and 5.0 and 5.1, and never had a conflict with WA (that I know of). Maybe something else has to be off from my setup as well (xp pro, pentium 4 wHT).

I did have to make Trillian stop popping up the little notification on the lower-right whenever someone signs in or out, though.

Its got 512mb ram so i dont think its low on ram... I've tried it with no other programs running but i dont think its winamp coz i hav that on constantly on my own comp.

GOOD ANSWER ! Seriously, if anyone is going to figure this out, it'd be someone there. Then again, maybe not, since they don't seem to help very many people anymore. I havn't checked the help forum there for a long time though, so it may have changed.
