whats the best way of making the previews for maps

Maybe resizing the whole map to the desired size? Use something better than Paint, if you can.

what i did was shirnk the view in Photoshop, and then hit Print/Screen... That was good enough but my Photoshop expired. Resizing the map may make it look very bad. And I do good enough making maps with paint even though I never had good enough maps.

That's da way how i make my map previews.

1. Open PhotoShop(mine is 7.0).
2. Open ma map compiled to .bmp
3. Got to Image->Mode and change mode from Bitmap to Grayscale. This will make map smoother and k3wl3r l00kin' when resized.
4. Just resize da map. For my site i use 240x87 size(for better quality, i resize it 3 times, 1st - to 960x348, second - to 480x174, and then finally to 240x87), but i think it's a bit too small. I recommend 480x174, but ya can use whatever size u need.
5. Saving map in any format and enjoying nice preview!

Any1 thinks there's a better way? I will b glad 2 lis'n.

lol i c ur photoshop expired.
then ya may try any ACDSee higher then 4.0, it can resize image and put it in any format, tho i havent worked with it much coz i have serial to photoshop 7.0(any1 that thinks last part of this sentence must not exist, can cut it).[/EDIT]
