I've downloaded the Far Cry demo lately but the first time I started it up it said that my AGP was not enough and it needed to be increased to 64MB...
Didn't take a note of this and carried on starting the demo.
I launch the single mission and the loading screen loads nearly all of the game and then it gives me a blue screen. I can get that blue screen info if it's needed to solve the problem but if someone could tell me how to adjust my AGP 'thing', I'd be very greatful!

AGP is a graphics port, there's no such thing as 'Your AGP' as such. Can you give us the exact wording of the error (possibly said AGP card)

I'd find out the information by doing what?
Oh and is my demo doomed to never run?

it sounds as if the game tried to auto recognise a gfx card in your AGP slot.
I know you have a gfx card, but is it a PCI one?
readme is correct, you cant alter it.
it comes in 2x 4x 8x and this is dependant on your mobo.

I did as Readme said but it didn't come up this time. So I tried to run the Far Cry demo on 2000 and it gave me the errors.
Critical Error: Error loading DLL: XrenderD3D9.dll
Then another box came up and said Error Code 126
The blue screen says that there is an error with the file ati3d1ag.dll
If my AGP can't be reconfigured, then what other options are there to run this demo? You may be saying 'so what? it's only a demo.' Well the problem is I pre-ordered the final game and I'm not sure if it will come up with the same error...
I've been told that this isn't a bad card: http://www.dabs.com/uk/channels/components/graphicscards/productView.htm?quicklinx=2M5K&familyid=186

i thought you had a russioan 512mb card pope?
if not, or if its pci based, heres the deal.
that 64mb card WILL struggle with games that are less than a year old.
for a start its shite, as were all cards up untill fall.
now you have two choices basically nvidia or ati
there is the fx 5700 ultra or the 9600XT these are both mid range cards.
were talking 150 pounds approx.
anything less isnt worth the effort.
both these cards will come with 128 mb ram.
now looking at manufacturers there is a wide choce form gainward to sparkle.
I bought a gainward powerpack fx 5700 ultra golden sample, for xmas. This card owns all others in its price range. Its pretty bare apart from that. No free games or what not.
ATI cards ship with a piece of paper that sez "we owe u hl2 single player version"
and are slightly cheaper.
my card was 152 quid. slotted in fine and is pre overclocked. It included gainward software for also overclocking the card further.
Moving into the expert stuff i dont really know what to say, except since u linked to a 60 quid card, the top end is way out of budget.
the best thing to do would bwe to indentify whats in your comp at the mo b4 shelling out on a new card, especially if its as poor a 64mb one.

try reinstalling Direct X, that file that is causing the error is a D3D file i reckon.

£78 for 256MB, fully DirectX compatible. This is a dream card for me.
Scanners look nice too.
