I agree. Revolution all the way actually, I wasn't being a fan-boy :p
I meant that I'm only considering getting it because the controller looks interesting. I've given up hope on finding good games on consoles the way they are now, but seeing as the revolution is making huge changes, it may be interesting to play. once I find out if it's as good as I think it looks, then I'll buy it. if it doesn't look as good as I thought, then I won't be getting it.
I'm not touching the Nintendo with a 10-foot barge pole. I think the controller will be like DDR/Eyetoy games, Good, but you wouldn't want to play every game like it.
Also, the distinct lacks mature games is enough to put me off (I WANT BLOOD AND KILLING)

Apparantly psymon has totally missed the possible implications that the Revolution controller could have for the FPS scene.
Magazine editors from everywhere have commented that using the Revolution controller feels even better than using a mouse and keyboard.

ok, DDR and eyetoy are completely different. the revolution controller has everything the normal game controller has, it just also features a point-and-shoot function seen only in arcade games. such a thing could add a LOT to the gameplay.
lack of mature games?! who the fuck cares?? I'd play a pikmin game that requires thought and skill rather than a GTA game that lets me mindlessly shoot people any day! gameplay > graphics. if you're caught up on the mature look some games have, you've completely missed the point of nintendo.

I couldn't agree more. 95% of the games I own have no bloody or violence related themes, but theyr'e still all excellent. Take for example the mario, or the sonic series. Pretty much no gore or violence there, but still brilliant series'.

If you want point and shoot, go out and buy a second hand G-Con gun and Time Crisis 3, doesn't cost much and is better than the arcade version, mostly because you don't have to pay anything to play.

Serial Killer? It's the only thing that's stopped me becoming a serial killer.

Are you saying that all games that involve killing are stupid no-brainers? Like Full Spectrum Warrior which is an awesome tactical war game and Splinter Cell where diversion and tactics are key?
Not all my games are 15+, Ratchet and Clank 3 certainly isin't, SSX: On Tour hasn't got a gun in sight and Bunrout: Revenge got a "PG" rating.

It's not that all games that involve violence are brainless games. It's that game companies are cashing in on violence to make a quick buck, while providing a game that has no structure and point to the game.
GTA > Has reasoning for the violence.
Narc > Has NO reasoning for the violence.

Neither was I Aku. I just like how you can play all the old games on the system. As well as the controller.
As for the blood and killing, I'm hoping there will be more than on the gamecube.
But I'm sure with a release of the first good nintendo system in awhile, distributers will be more inclined to make games for nintendo.

caught me with that one. I worded it wrong.
don't get me wrong here, I love shooters as well, but if you're playing a system simply because of the blood and guts games I'd have to call you a fool. I love shooters as much as anyone else (which is why I play mostly PC now), but not because of the blood and guts. if you're a shooter fan, that's fine, but the "I want blood and killing" thing made it sound like you were playing the games because you enjoyed seeing the blood splatter everywhere.
